4-Channel Electronic Fuse (e-Fuse)
EFC-240
4-Channel Electronic Fuse (e-Fuse)
The EFC-240 is a 4-channel electronic fuse (e-Fuse) load switch with independent overcurrent limit control and real-time output current indication, compliant with IEC/EN 62368-1, IEC/EN 61010-1, IEC/EN 61010-2-201, and IEC/EN 61000-6-2/6-3 standards. Each channel is separately protected so that overload or fault conditions on an individual load do not affect overall system reliability or function. The useful LED indicators show the output current and change from green to yellow (current within limit) to orange (current at limit) to red (overcurrent or short-circuit).
The EFC-240 is available with a 22–28 VDC input range and a regulated 24 VDC output, delivering up to 10 A per channel with a maximum rated output power of 240 W (4 × 60 W). It features a 150% power boost for 5 s and can handle 150% overload for up to 120 ms to avoid nuisance tripping, with an efficiency of up to 98.6%.
The channels power up in sequence to reduce the input inrush current, with a pre-settable delay time configurable via DIP-switch (5 ms, 25 ms, 200 ms or 500 ms). Under system overload conditions, the channels disconnect the loads in reverse sequence, keeping essential functions running to the last. The EFC-240 has a high design lifetime expectancy of >80,000 h at 40 °C and features tool-less push-in and lever-release terminals with paired input and output connectors for easy daisy chaining.
KEY FEATURES:
- Operating temperature: -40 °C to +70 °C at natural convection.
- Individual ON/OFF control and adjustable OCP limit (3.5 A–11.5 A) per channel via potentiometer.
- Short circuit protection with 150% power boost for 5 s and tripping within 120 ms at hard short.
- Output hiccup or latching mode selectable via DIP-switch, with DC-OK contacts and remote fault reset.
- Easy daisy chaining with paired input & output (+, −) push-in connectors for tool-less wiring.
