The DPX-480 is a high-reliability, three-phase AC input DIN-rail power supply available in 24 VDC / 480 W and 48 VDC / 480 W variants, in an extremely compact 52 mm wide enclosure, compliant with IEC/EN/UL 62368-1, IEC/EN/UL 61010-1, IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-2-201, and heavy industrial EMC standards IEC/EN 61000-6-4 Class B and IEC/EN 61000-6-2. Specially designed for demanding industrial automation applications, it withstands an extended mains input surge immunity of up to 6 kVAC and features return voltage immunity above 35/63 VDC, making it safe for operation with back-feeding loads such as decelerating motors and inductors.
The DPX-480 accepts a wide three-phase input range of 320–575 VAC (50/60 Hz), two-phase operation from 2 × 350 V to 2 × 480 V (max. 340 W output), and DC input from 450 to 815 VDC continuously (850 VDC for 10 s). It delivers full 480 W output over the entire −40 °C to +60 °C ambient temperature range with natural convection only. A Thermal Power Bonus of up to 576 W at 45 °C and a 150% power boost for 7.5 s make it ideal for powering highly inductive or capacitive loads, with an efficiency of up to 95.3% and a no-load consumption as low as 1.9 W.
The DPX-480 features an innovative slim design with 25° angled push-in connectors for fast, tool-less installation and replacement directly on standard TS35 DIN rail (EN 60715). Active inrush current limitation (PFC >0.9), a DC-OK signal contact, adjustable output voltage via on-board potentiometer (24–28 VDC / 48–56 VDC), Charging and Parallel Load Share modes selectable via DIP-Switch, and a design lifetime of 80,000 h at 40 °C (MTBF 705,000 h per IEC 61709) complete a product engineered for maximum uptime in the harshest industrial environments.
