At Premium PSU, we have successfully completed the NEWCONVERT project – Design and development of a high-voltage converter with advanced technology, in collaboration with CITCEA-UPC.

Launched in 2022 and completed in 2025, this project marks a significant step forward in power electronics applied to railway and renewable energy systems, through the development of a new-generation bidirectional DC-DC converter with digital control and the ability to operate at voltages up to 1500 V.

The new solution improves energy efficiency, reduces weight and volume, and opens the door to new applications in railway and photovoltaic systems, addressing the sustainability and innovation challenges of the sector.
