A scalable solution that goes from the power module, to  the subrack including control module and display, the whole solution as a cabinet. Parallel operation makes it flexible to adapt the capacity to changing load requirements.

Due to its high efficiency, power consumption is very low. Over its product lifetime, the savings in terms of money and power are higher than older systems, making this a good replacement unit.

The FlexStorm cabinet is a high efficiency 12kW + 3kW or 6kW (1 or 2 backup power module) rectifier with galvanic isolation between input and output. The system consists of a 19″ Subrack  containing 5 or 6 FDS-3K power modules (4+1 or 4+2 redundancy) and a control module. The communications module is installed in the door. The cabinet is equipped with auxiliary and protection devices, see details in the block diagram section.

The control module centralizes all measurements to run the battery charge and output voltage. The FDS-3K power modules communicate with control module via PMBus. The communication module allows local and remote control. RS-232 for local control and Ethernet for local and remote control are the implemented protocols.

The product is protected against over temperature, overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuits. The battery charging is optimized to NiCd cells.
