The DPS-120 is a high-reliability, single-phase AC input DIN rail power supply delivering up to 120 W at 12 VDC, 24 VDC or 48 VDC in an industry-leading compact footprint of just 100 × 112 mm with a width of only 28 mm — the slimmest 120 W DIN rail PSU in the market, achieving a power density of up to 500 W/liter. Compliant with IEC/EN/UL 61010-1, IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-2-201, and heavy industrial EMC standards IEC/EN 61000-6-3 Class B and IEC/EN 61000-6-2, it is specially designed for demanding industrial automation applications with extended return voltage immunity for safe operation with back-feeding loads such as decelerating motors and inductors.
The DPS-120 accepts a wide single-phase input range of 85–277 VAC (47–63 Hz) and DC input from 88 to 370 VDC, and is available in three output versions: 12 VDC (adjustable 12–15 V, 8 A, 96 W rated), 24 VDC (adjustable 24–28 V, 5 A, 120 W rated) and 48 VDC (adjustable 48–56 V, 2.5 A, 120 W rated). It delivers full rated power over the entire -40 °C to +60 °C ambient temperature range with natural convection only. A Thermal Power Bonus of up to 144 W at 45 °C and a 150% power boost for 5 s make it suitable for highly inductive or capacitive loads, with an efficiency of up to 93.3% and an exceptionally low no-load consumption of just 0.2–0.3 W.
The DPS-120 features an innovative slim design with 25° angled push-in connectors for fast, tool-less installation and replacement on standard TS35 DIN rail (EN 60715). A DC-OK signal contact, adjustable output voltage via on-board potentiometer, and a remarkable design lifetime expectancy of 231,000 h at 40 °C / 75% load — equivalent to more than 15 years of operation — complete a product engineered for maximum uptime in the most space-constrained industrial cabinets. Support for redundant 1+1 or parallel 1+n operation with the RDM-40 redundancy module is also available.
