Starting a train can be somewhat complicated when there is a lack of power in the batteries. The new CVS-280 allows energy to be obtained from the catenary and use it to start the vehicle. Furthermore, the device withstands 4.5kV overvoltage peaks. Thus, the time of disuse will no longer cause difficulties and startup of light rails and trams will be guaranteed.

4,5kV falling to 2.25kV for 1ms
